Description:
A traditional turnover-top sock built from hard-wearing British wool, made for time spent on the water. Reinforced toe seams and a non-elasticated comfort cuff mean nothing rubs or chafes on long days at sea, and the sock is knitted to stand up to a variety of boot styles, from sailing to everyday wear on dry land.
The design has real history behind it: seaboot socks were originally made for sailors and fishermen, and were worn by the RAF, Army and Royal Navy through the Second World War before finding a second life among bikers during the 1950s motorcycle boom. That history also makes them a good fit for military and maritime reenactors after an authentic period sock. Wool does the practical work here, wicking away moisture and keeping feet warm even in cold, wet conditions.
